Pro Bass angler Kevin VanDam to attend 5th Annual WOW event!
Fayetteville, NC – February 13, 2009 – Warriors on the Water is excited to announce that Kevin VanDam will be a special guest of honor at the 5th Annual Warriors on the Water Bass Fishing tournament April 21-23, 2010.
In the world of professional bass fishing, Kevin is the top! He is a fierce competitor with multiple championships. Kevin will be attending our Ice Breaker event at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where this year’s anglers and military personnel will meet, win prizes, receive fishing related gifts and obtain this years tournament rules.
As a patriotic supporter of our military, Kevin is looking forward to meeting with the men and women serving in the military, providing his support as well as gratitude for their service to the nation.
Kevin is the all-time money winner on the Bassmaster Tournament trail, he has earned more than $3.6 million through 2009, captured three Bassmaster Classic titles (2001,2005 and 2010) and five Toyota Tundra Angler of Year titles (1992, ‘96, ‘99, ‘08 and ‘09). The Bassmaster Classic title is the most coveted in bass fishing, attracting the best anglers in the world who qualify for it through a regular season schedule.
Kevin has earned berths in 20 consecutive Classics since he turned full-time pro in 1992, the longest running Classic qualification streak of any active pro! In 221 career Bassmaster events, he’s won 16, finished second 11 times and landed in the top 10 an amazing 84 times!
Warriors on the Water is a non-profit organization, founded by three combat veterans, as a way in which to show continued appreciation to the men and women who serve today.
